I was talking with a friend of mine, Susan Weaver from Great Big Lake Design, about teaching WordPress classes and how we handle the content creation piece of blogging. You can’t bog down the class waiting for people to write something – people get obsessed with that piece and miss anything else, I’ve found.
Sue introduced me to the Bob Ross Lipsum, a generator of random quotes by Bob Ross that can add placeholder text to a website, is fun, and makes people happy. Least-ways it makes me happy!
Here is a very appropriate bit I just called up:
No pressure. Just relax and watch it happen. You’ve got to learn to fight the temptation to resist these things. Just let them happen. Decide where your cloud lives. Maybe he lives right in here. Use your imagination, let it go. But we’re not there yet, so we don’t need to worry about it.
When you buy that first tube of paint it gives you an artist license. Maybe we got a few little happy bushes here, just covered with snow. In your world you have total and absolute power. Just think about these things in your mind – then bring them into your world. Little trees and bushes grow however makes them happy.
Let your imagination be your guide. Fluff it up a little and hypnotize it. Clouds are free they come and go as they please. We artists are a different breed of people. We’re a happy bunch. Be so very light. Be a gentle whisper.
